Located in Seine-et-Marne in the communes of Ferrières-en-Brie with its buildings and Pontcarré with its English-style park, the Castle of Ferrières was built in 1829 by Joseph Paxton for Baron James de Rothschild. The castle, built from 1855 to 1859, was inaugurated on December 16, 1862, by Napoleon III.
